05/13/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Bold, Independant MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 5/10/17-Observed Behavior- screaming, hissing ENRICHMENT NOTES: 5/11/17-Resting in litter box, looked up briefly when spoken to, then put head down and went back to sleep. Very food motivated! Walked around cage eating treats, allowed all pets, quiet grumbling towards the end? When done eating, went immediately back to sleep in litter box. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Cherry looks neutral, lying down curled up on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Cherry became alert with soft eyes, stretches in place. Reaction to touch: Cherry sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows the petting, but becomes agitated with sudden noises in the room then swats and hisses to stop the interaction. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: The cat may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
