CHEESECAKE – A1064717
Safe - 2-18-2016 Brooklyn
**SAFE 02/18/16** NEW HOPE RESCUE needed for CHEESECAKE, tonight! The ACC doesn’t give sweet deals to any of the animals in their so-called “care,” and poor CHEESECAKE can definitely vouch for that sad fact. This handsome boy was brought in as a stray on February 8th, and the shelter has wasted NO time in plotting his demise. Cheesecake has had the standard 72-hour stray hold and that is ALL the time the ACC are willing to give him. He was NEVER in adoptions, which means the ONLY people who know he is alive, are people who see his post. It will take a NEW HOPE RESCUE to save his life, so please advocate widely for CHEESECAKE tonight!

02/11/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Cheesecake and at the time she had her back arched, tense body. Licks lips. Retreats to the back. Very uncomfortable. Hisses and swats when close. Allows no contact. Reaction to assessor: Cheesecake was hiding when I approach cage When spoken quietly: Cheesecake continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: Cheesecake remains motionless Reaction to touch: Cheesecake hisses and growls Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: NewHope Cheesecake was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Cheesecake seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Cheesecake may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
