Reaction when softly spoken to: Cheddar looks at the assessor, tense. Reaction to cage door opening: Cheddar remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Cheddar remains still and allows petting, slowly stops shaking but does not warm up to petting. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Timid POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: – Fearful BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Please note that Cheddar is being treated for an upper-respiratory infection at the time of the assessment, and that this may affect the behaviors shown. RECOMMENDATIONS: – Experienced, adult home only – Placement with a New Hope partner Behavior observations _x_ Experienced, Adult Only Cheddar tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home.
