02/19/17 16:36 Basic Info Chateau is a two year old DSH whose owners were having housing issues so could not keep him. Never taken to vet. Socialization Chateau is shy for a few hours around strangers but once he is acclimated to the person he is willing to socialize with them and be pet. When he does play he is gentle but he does not play often, usually prefers being pet. He is respectful of other cats, he had a short stay with another cat that was aggressive towards him and he did not respond in kind just runs away and avoids the aggressive cat. he does not play with other cats. Has not bitten anybody. Behavior Chateau does not scratch on furniture and uses the litter box very well. If trying to trim his nails he willrun away. He does not mind being brushed but is squirmy when being held or picked up. When trying to put into a carrier he struggles a lot. New Family Chateau is shy and affectionate with a medium level of activity at home. Sometimes he likes to solicit attention and sometimes he keeps to himself. He does not play with toys and is kept solely indoors. He sleeps underneath the couch and eats a variety of dry food brands that he has access to all day. He uses his litter box exclusively and has an uncovered litter box with Arm & Hammer crystal litter. She has a vertical scratch post made of carpet material. Intake Behavior Chateau is shy and resisted being taken out of his carrier by trying to stay to the back of the carrier. Chateau allowed all handling but is tense and looks for cover. He shys away from touch and hides in back of cage. He is tense when picked up.
