I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/27/2017 from NY 10031, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Social KNOWN HISTORY: Chamomile was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/31/17- Observed Behavior: hissing, growling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 9/3/17 Resting at the front, eyes a little dilated, but half open, seemed sleepy. Sniffed hand through the bars, then stood when door opened. Sat at the front, soft posture, leaned and arched into pets despite wearing e-collar. Ate offered treats. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Chamomile immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chamomile engages, meowing attention. Reaction to door opening: Chamomile remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Chamomile head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Chamomile interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
