Exam Type BEHAVIOR
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 7/6/17- Observed Behavior – very skittish/fearful, will flee ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/6/17- In den on approach. Sniffed assess-a-hand briefly through hole, then held completely immobile when pet. No response at all. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Chalupa remains tense, crouched position hiding in the den. Reaction to cage door opening: Chalupa remains stiff body, tucked limbs, and alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Chalupa hisses at the assessor’s hand, maintains distance, but when touched she begins to growl. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Chalupa may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
