CENA – A1066581
Safe - 3-9-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: All Sentient Beings Please honor your pledges: http://animalloversnetwork.org/
***SAFE 03/09/16*** CENA AND KERRI ARE 14 WEEKS OLD AND HAVE BAD COLDS AND CONJUNCTIVITIS WHICH HAS LANDED THEM ON TONIGHT’S EUTH LIST!! Two kittens named CENA and KERRI were brought into the shelter as strays. They are both suffering with a bad URI and may both have corneal ulcers in their eyes. Sadly, despite the fact that they were improving, the ACC can’t wait long enough for them to recover and put them in the adoptions room. The only “cure” they seem to have for the kitty cold is to give them a lethal injection and toss them in a black freezer bag. CENA and KERRI are not feeling well now and obviously not wanting people to poke and prod at them. They allowed handling but need some good old love and TLC to help them trust humans again after this shelter experience. FOSTERING WILL CERTAINLY SAVE LIVES HERE AND GIVE THESE TWO LITTERMATES A CHANCE FOR A HAPPY LIFE. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL THEM TO SAFETY! EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] IF YOU NEED RESCUE INFO.

03/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cena was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Please note that Cena is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Cena was resting at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cena makes eye contact with the assessor and starts to slow blink. Her ears flatten and she inches away slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Cena remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Cena leans away from contact at first then slowly warms up allowing petting all over. She keeps her body low but will still tilt her head in for rubs. Reaction to being picked up: Cena is tense when held and is very alert, wary of her surroundings. Please note that Cena is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Behavior Determination: Experience Cena tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
