I am a spayed female black domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 14 WEEKS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/13/2016 from NY 10312, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/13/16 17:40 Animal’s appearance – Kitten appeared clean and of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – Kitten was not handled. Kitten was transferred directly from carrier to den. Kitten appeared very nervous and was attempting to flee once in the den. Client stated that he found the kitten in his yard and he does not want the kitten to stay around and procreate in the future adding to the influx of stray cats so he caught it and brought it to SIACC.

Catfish came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Catfish was nervous and attempted to flee. Reaction to assessor: Catfish is at the back of the cage, alert. Reaction when softly spoken to: Catfish remains motionless. Reaction to cage door opening: Catfish remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Catfish tries to back into a corner, looking for an exit, but does not become fractious when touched. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Catfish does not approach the assessor, appears fearful, and avoids handling. Catfish is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can provide him appropriate socialization and adjustment time to a new home environment.
