KNOWN HISTORY: Casey was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Docile EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Casey was lying down on her blanket and meowing softly at the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Casey continues meowing, then slowly approaches the front and rubs her body up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Casey pauses and seems a little hesitant. Reaction to touch: Casey’s tail rises and her body perks up when you rub her along her back. She leans in for head rubs, continues rubbing her cheeks against the kennel furnishings and appreciates attention. Reaction to being picked up: Casey was a bit tense when picked up but remains calm and allows all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Affectionate, Easy going BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Casey interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
