SAFE 8/18/17 — 8 year old CAPPUCCINO has a cold and needs a new home. Owner surrendered for “personal problems”. Owner said cat was originally adopted from ASPCA and has been sneezing for a few weeks. Cappuccino seems to be bothered by other cats so may be happier as an only cat.

O reports has been sneezing for a few weeks Subjective: BARH, reportedly sneezing Observed Behavior -very loose and friendly but growls at other cats and becomes tense Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen – no Objective P = wnl R = wnl BCS 5/9 EENT: mild serous ocular d/c ou, no nasal d/c but audible upper resp congestion. Clean ears au Oral Exam: moderate dental tartar, adult dentition, no oral ulcers PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs have mild increase in BV sounds bilaterally and audible upper resp congestion ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: MN MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: Mild URI Plan: Doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x10d Erythromycin ou BID x10d Recheck day 5, 10 Prognosis: good SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to URI
