CANDICE – A1083772
Gone - 8-6-2016 Brooklyn
**GONE 08/06/16** CANDACE CERTAINLY NEEDS OUR HELP TONIGHT…..This 10 year old tortie has not been well cared for…..and now she is scared and alone and needs medical care….. The ACC’s diagnoses are sometimes close and a lot of times wildly off the mark…and even they admit one of their machines wasn’t working…
CANDACE needs a fair shake and a thorough exam by a competent vet…..BUT WILL SHE GET THAT? Will any Purrson or Rescue take a chance on her?? Hopefully by noon tomorrow, someone will find it in their heart to bring this lady to safe haven in their home…..The clock is already ticking. If you are interested in FOSTERING or ADOPTING, please email us at [email protected] for rescue info.

08/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Candice was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Candice was pressed up against the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Candice makes eye contact with the assessor but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Candice remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Candice tolerates petting with a slow approach. Her body is tense/ stiff and she looks around the kennel looking for an exit while lip licking. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Candice tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
