CANAL – A1081328
Safe - 7-26-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
**SAFE 07/26/16** Canal is just a baby, only 8 months old. He was found in a warehouse in the Bronx. The ACC took him from the trap to a crate where he sits waiting for the unknown. No Mom to snuggle with just his lonesome. They wonder why during intake he remained neutral. He’s just a baby and does not know that he is supposed to act certain ways yet. He was never shown any love by a kind owner where he had attention and plenty to eat on a schedule. He’s had to fend for himself and has no reason to trust. Give him a reason to believe and apply to adopt or foster this little one tonight.

Reaction to cage door opening: Canal retreats to the back of the kennel. Reaction to touch: Canal hisses and moves away, then sits quietly when pet. Behavior Determination: Experienced, no children Canal tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children.
