04/07/17 08:58 Basic Info: Bunny A1108138 is a 3yr old spayed female brown tabby & white DSH who was adopted from another shelter almost 3yrs ago and is being surrendered due to allergies & no space. Bunny was last seen by a vet a few years ago and currently has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Bunny is friendly/outgoing with strangers. She hasn’t been around other animals but was gentle, playful, relaxed/affectionate with the 3, 8 & 10yr olds in the home and adults. Bunny hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Bunny will meow or be relaxed. She isn’t bothered by the following: being brushed or being put into a carrier. Bunny hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting, had her nails trimmed or been bathed (but has had bathing powder used on her and the grooming glove which she doesn’t seem to mind). Bunny scratches on a corner of the couch sometimes but also uses her scratching post. For a New Family to Know: Bunny is described as friendly, affectionate, playful & quiet with medium activity level. When the owner is home Bunny follows them around. She’s an indoor cat who sleeps around the home, eats dry Friskies cat food 2-3x a day and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter within. Intake Behavior: Bunny allowed all handling. She had a soft body, eyes and allowed to be scanned (-), collared & her picture taken. Bunny will solicit attention/affection & she’ll head butt. Bunny didn’t seem to mind being picked up at all and was placed into a kennel with ease.

She is very interested in chicken, so we did some clicker training. She took some time to figure out I wanted her to reach out and touch my hand, but after a few repetitions she became more consistent. She gave me high fives whenever I gave her the visual cue and is a quick learner! Near the end, she got distracted by movement and noise in the room, so training ended. Appears to be doing much better in the adoptions room. *Behavior EVALUATION on 4/10/17: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Bunny looks at the assessor with soft eyes. Reaction when softly spoken to: Bunny comes to the front of the cage and sits down, occasional hissing at room noises. Reaction to cage door opening: Bunny stays at the front of the cage, her eyes dilate and she becomes alert. Reaction to touch: Bunny leans and arches into the stroke, but remains wary and hisses once. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Bunny interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
