***SAFE 02/24/17***GOOD BEHAVIOR RATING!!! BRENDA CAME IN WITH A GROUP OF 15 CATS (INCLUDING BARDOT & BARKE–ALSO LISTED TONIGHT) WHEN OWNER DIED – SPAYED 6 YR OLD NEEDS NEW HOME! FIV POSITIVE
These kitties came from the same household and are FIV positive, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t excited to start their lives in new forever homes! Petite Bambi and Brenda are a little more shy than some of their housemates, but these lovely ladies allow handling. Bardot will come to the front to investigate new people, and appreciates gentle head scratches, but he’s also happy just curling up with Brenda for a nap.

02/21/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: Previously lived with: Adults, 2 turtles, 1 bird, 8 dogs and other 14 cats EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Brenda was curled up on her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Brenda is curious, lifts her head up to make eye contact but doesn’t come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Brenda remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Brenda lowers her head and is a little hesitant when the assessor extends his hand out. She closes her eyes and allows petting along her body with a slow, gentle approach. Her body feels a bit tense, she is confident at the back of the kennel and doesn’t come forward. Reaction to being picked up: Brenda was tense when held and curls up in the assessor’s arms. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 02/21/17 Sharing a kennel with Bardot, A1103870, which seems a bit much for Brenda: He’s a large, outgoing male, she’s a tiny, shy lady. She’s very cute, shy, quiet, allows handling and petting but is tense here. Sometimes hard to interact with her as Bardot is always right at the front of the kennel. It is nice that she does have a buddy to be with. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Nervous, allows all handling ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy RECOMMENDATIONS: _x_ Experienced cat parent – Brenda may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
