***SAFE 05/23/16*** BEAUTIFUL BREEZE READY TO BE YOUR FUREVER FRIEND! Meet two year old terrific torbie, Breeze , an adorable girl who needs to feel the breeze on her pretty face from the comfort of a nice window seat in your home, away from the stressful shelter environment. Breeze came in as a stray surrender, lactating, but we are unsure of the whereabouts of her kittens. She allows petting and handling but is a little cautious. It is recommended that this gentle gal go to an experienced home–as she needs a little time to decompress from the stress at the ACC. Can you open your heart and home to this sweetheart by offering to foster or adopt? You can reserve Breeze online or contact a New Hope rescue for assistance. They can help arrange transportation of this beauty directly to you. Email our help desk and we will help you be Breeze’s rescue angel–[email protected] Please don’t hesitate because Breeze will become yesterday’s news if we don’t move her to safe haven tonight. Make the call for this terrific tortie NOW!!!

05/19/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Breeze and at the time she was nervous withh wide eyes focused on all movement. Breeze was near the front but retreats when door opens. Breeze slowly inches away. Breeze lip licks and avoids contact. She keeps to the back and faces the wall. Reaction to assessor: Breeze was at the bak of the cage looking at the assessor with wide eyes When spoken quietly: Breeze stays at the back of the cage with wide eyes Reaction to door cage opening: Breeze remains nervous Reaction to touch: Breeze allows petting and attention with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Breeze is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Breeze was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
