Bradhurst is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. Behaviorally, we have no concerns about Bradhurst, whom we believe would be suitable even for a beginner cat home.

[DVM Intake] DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 3-5 yrs Microchip noted on Intake? n History : stray Subjective: BAR Observed Behavior -struggles a bit, but likely b/c severe uri, able to do complete exam Evidence of Cruelty seen -n Evidence of Trauma seen -n Objective T = P = 140 R = wnl BCS 4/9 EENT: Severe, chronic conjunctivitis os>od w/ hair loss around os, elevated 3rd eyelids Oral Exam: overall good condition of teeth 3-5 yrs age, ears clear, nasal passageways completely blocked with crust – cleared w/ saline, inflamed proximal passageways PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated, thin body condition U/G: mn, left ear notched MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, unkempt, dry haircoat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: na Assessment: uri – viral conjunctivitis – viral Prognosis: good for long term may need famciclovir added to tx Plan: Gave 150 cc lrs and 0.3 cc cerenia sq on intake doxycycline 30mg po sid nebulize bid w/ 0.2 cc gent in saline bid erythromycin bid ou monitor eating and hydration status – dvm recheck tomorrow (hydration) SURGERY: Okay for surgery Temporary waiver due to Permanent waiver due to

Hx severe chronic conjunctivitis, blepharospasm S: Walking around kennel, mewing at me O: BAR Mucoid ocular discharge and ulceration around OS and extending ventrally from medial canthus. No blepharospasm noted. Sneezing A: URI/conjunctivitis – appears to be improving P: CWCT 1088

Upon intake, Bradhurst allowed all handling by counselor. Head butted for affection and pets.
KNOWN HISTORY:: Bradhurst was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: very interactive and affectionate!
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: URI, heavy ocular discharge. Resting behind litter box, soft eyes and body, seemed a little lethargic. Meowed quietly on approach. Stood and immediately came forward when door opened. Leaned into pets, purred quietly, ate offered treats.

Reaction to assessor:: Bradhurst engages when approached by the assessor.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Bradhurst remains soft in place.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Bradhurst seeks affection, leans forward with tail up and remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:: Bradhurst head bunts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up:: Allows the pickup and remains calm.
