ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/26/17 Crouched in litter box, wide-eyed, uncomfortable. Hunched lower when touched, slowly walked away to avoid pets. 7/27/17 Asleep at back with siblings. Initially too sleepy to respond, lay in place and allowed all pets. Once a little more awake, leaned away, then stood and retreated to avoid touch. Started playing with toys in other kennel. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Bonny remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to door opening: Bonny remains inm place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Bonny accepts the touch, but seems unsure and slowly leans away from the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: She beocmes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Bonny interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
