Hello, my name is Boggle. My animal id is #9429. I am a desexed male black cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 10-Oct-2017.
Boggle 9429 is at risk for an upper respiratory infection (URI). Behaviorally, he has been calm, social, and affectionate with a gentle approach. Boggle is suitable for an adopter with an average amount of cat experience.

[DVM Intake] DVM Intake Exam Estimated age:2 Microchip noted on Intake? n History : stray Subjective: Observed Behavior -head butts, seeks petting Evidence of Cruelty seen -n Evidence of Trauma seen -n Objective T = P =200 R =wnl BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: clean teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: 2 testes MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, dirty hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: healthy Prognosis:excellent Plan:neuter SURGERY: Okay for surgery
Presurgical exam: BARH BCS 5/9 – no c/s v/d observed/reported EENT: clean/clear Oral Exam: nsf PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupneic; nsf ABD: soft abdomen, no masses palpated U/G: intact male MSI: amb x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: not performed A: apparently healthy, ok for surgery Routine Neuter: Testicular blocks admin. prior to surgical prep.; Testes exteriorized on R and L sides by scrotal incision over each testicle; each spermatic cord was auto-ligated and each testicle was excised distal to the ligature; scrotal incisions are left open to drain and heal by second intention; a green-ink tattoo was placed at the caudal abdomen/inguinal region lateral to midline
S/O QAR, docile and friendly OU-blepharospasm, serous discharge no sneezing or nasal discharge noted appears eupnic A Conjunctivitis P erythromycin OU BID x 10 days recheck 10/20
S/O -QAR, docile and friendly -good appetite -sneezing, serous nasal discharge -OU: mild blepharospasm and increased epiphora -appears eupnic A URI/conjunctivitis P move to isolation doxycycline 0.9 ml PO SID x 10 days started on erythromycin for mild conjunctivitis on 10/16 recheck 10/22
Anesthesia – 0.09mL dexdomitor, 0.05 mL butorphanol, 0.45 mL ketamine induction. 0.60mL Simbadol injectable and 0.45 mL Onsior for pain management. -Testiculaer Block 0.2ml Lidocaine,0.9mL Bupivacaine, 0.03ml Hydromorphone -Antisedan 0.045mL Additional Notes:Was given 100mL LRS and temp was taken, recorded-102.8F. Placed in a sternal position and will continue recovery observation.
