He is laid back and welcomes head scratches and cheek rubs, no introductions needed! Bobby has lived with young children and a large dog in the past, and was tolerant respectful towards them, but wasn’t too keen on playtime with these younger, more energetic housemates! He is diabetic and looks forward to kicking back and relaxing in his new home.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 02/24/2017 from NY 11211, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER HOSP.

2-26-17 BG 418 today 1230p – ate @6a – insulin given @10a Weight loss Rec going to foster asap to manage dm successfully – Not possible to manage @ACC and will decline quickly Very sweet cat will be easy to handle and admin med’s — 02/26/17 In medical for care. Wide-eyed, but that may be something of a natural state for this older guy. Calm, allowed petting all over, seemed to appreciate the attention. Gave some fresh wet food. Checked back on him, and Boobee was right at the front of the kennel, calm and relaxed, softly rubbing his face against the bars of the kennel door. Sweet, friendly older fella, with a wide-eyed charm, needs XTLC.

02/24/17 16:17 Boobee is an 11 year old, male black tabby DSH mix; He was bred at home by the family former cat. Boobee was brought into ACC, due to his owner being placed in the hospital. He is diabetic and has no injuries. Around strangers Boobee is friendly and outgoing he allows them to pick him up and give soft pets. He has lived in a home with two 3 year old children, he will try to hide but if the children try to play with he will tolerant all handling. Boobee has lived with a male Pitbull, and mostly ignores the Pitbull, but if he approached by the Pitbull he will swat. Boobee has no bite history, and during car rides he is relaxed and calm. If his litter box is not cleaned or clean frequently he will have accidents outside the litter box. Boobee does like bath and will struggle and run out of the tub. He isn’t bothered by getting his nails trimmed, brushed or being held. He is described as friendly, playful, and affectionate by his previous family. Boobee has a medium activity level and loves to lie on his owner laps and likes to be pet. He loves to play with catnip toys, and likes to sleep on the carpet. His is litter-box trained, and has an uncovered litter box with clay litter. Boobee has a Scratching post made with rough rope. Upon intake Boobee was very friendly he came out his carrier and rubbed against the counselor body, he allowed the counselor to carry him and pet him all over. The counselor was able to collar him and take a photo with no issue.
