***SAFE 07/10/16***FRIENDLY, AFFECTIONATE, PLAYFUL AND MELLOW ARE SOME OF THE WORDS USED TO DESCRIBE SWEET BLUEBELL! BUT BLUEBELL WILL DIE ON FRIDAY WITHOUT A FOSTER OR ADOPTER TO SAVE HER AFTER OWNER DUMPED FOR MOVING!! Why is it that people don’t find pet friendly homes? This is beyond our comprehension. BLUEBELL is AVERAGE rated and is an all around wonderful cat. She has lived with children and was good with them. She is friendly and outgoing even with strangers. BLUEBELL IS THE PURRFECT KITTY!! She now has the cold given to her by the shelter and is going to be “cured” with not antibiotics – but a lethal injection at noon. WE CANNOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO SWEET BLUEBELL! 06/25/16 12:55 Basic information: Bluebell is a 2 year old domestic short hair cat who was surrendered due to her previous owner moving to a place where animals are nmot allowed. Socialization: Around strangers Bluebell is friendly, outgoing and plays gently with adults. Bluebell has lived with children ages 2 through 12 years old around them Bluebell relaxed, affectionate, and plays gently with adults. Bluebell has lived with one other cat and was relaxed and affectionate toward that cat. Bluebell has never been around dogs so it is unknown how she will react to that event. Behavior: Bluebell has never bitten another person or animal. Bluebell will often scratch on the carpert. Bluebell is relaxed when riding in a carand enjoys being given a bath, being brushed, being picked up/held, being placed in a carrier, and doesn’t mind being disturbed while resting/sleeping. Bluebell’s previous owner has never trimmed her nails so ir is unknown how she will react to that event. For a New Family to Know: Bluebell is described as: friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, shy and quiet with a high activity level. When at home Bluebell will follow around her ownerand likes to play with string. Bluebell was kept indoors only and was fed dry food. Bluebell is litter box trianed and used a hooded litter box with pellet litter. Bluebell had a horizontal litter box made of carpet and smooth wood. Intake Behavior: Bluebell allowed staff to collar., scan for a miscrochip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.

As per previous owner, Around strangers Bluebell is friendly, outgoing and plays gently with adults. Bluebell has lived with children ages 2 through 12 years old. Around them Bluebell is relaxed, affectionate, and plays gently with adults. Bluebell has lived with one other cat. Bluebell was relaxed and affectionate toward that cat. Bluebell has never been around dogs so it is unknown how she will react. Reaction to assessor: Bluebell does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Bluebell does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Bluebell remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Bluebell slowly walks to the front of the cage with her body low. She allows all petting and attention Try picking cat up: Bluebell is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average Bluebell was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying shy behavior, slowly comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Bluebell is displaying behavior appropriate for a new or experience cat owner.
