08/01/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/01/17 15:10 Basic Information: Blue Ivy is a spayed female orange tabby and white cat. She was surrendered to MACC because of her previous owner’s personal problems. She was rescued from the streets when she was a kitten about 1 year ago. She has no known injuries or health problems. Socialization: She was a bit shy for a few minutes around strangers. She has never been around children. She played gently with adults. She lived with the roomate’s cat who was a 2 years old spayed female and she was respectful towards her. She played gently with the other cat. She has no known bite history. Behavior: Blue Ivy had no major behavioral issues. She did wander outside of the apartment when the door was left open but she would always return back home. She meow on her way to MACC because she was not used to being inside carriers. She was not bothered by baths, nail trims, or when disturbed while she slept. She enjoyed being picked up and held. She also enjoyed having her coat brushed. For a New Family to Know: She was described as an affectionate, playful, confident, and independent little diva cat. Her activity was high as she always kept herself busy. The previous owner favorite thing about her is that Blue Ivy really enjoyed giving her owner “baths” because of the way she licked her so much. Her favorite activity was playing with a mechanic ball that always kept rolling. She enjoyed chasing the ball around the house. She was kept mostly indoors. She slept in her previous owner’s room or in her bed. She ate a mixture of dry and wet fancy feast cat food. She always used her hooded litter box that was filled with scented clumping litter. She had two scratching post one horizontal and the other one vertical both made of carpet. During Intake: She tolerated all handling and allowed collaring. She was not interested in treats. She had a relaxed body and enjoyed being petted by the admissions counselor. She was a little hesitant in going back inside the carrier.

Reaction to cage door opening: Blue Ivy remains in place, alert with normal pupils, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Blue Ivy peaks out of the den and appears soft however, once she saw the assessor’s hand, to attempt to touch, she immediately hisses and strikes to stop the interaction. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Blue Ivy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home.
