***GONE 09/17/16***SECOND CHANCE FOR PERFECTLY HEALTHY BLOUE–HE IS GOING TO BE KILLED FOR NO REASON AT ALL! BLOUE was trapped and dumped in the ACC. He is a healthy tabby and very handsome too – although the horrible photo doesn’t let you see him very well. BLOUE allowed all handling but is nervous and tense in the shelter as any cat would be. He was rated EXPNOCHILD and sent right off to tonight’s list. BLOUE is a good boy and once in a home where he knows he is safe and loved, he will relax and be your new best friend. DON’T LET THE SHELTER KILL THIS HEALTHY ADOPTABLE CAT TOMORROW AT NOON- CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT BLOUE.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Bloue was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. He did not allow handling upon intake and attempted to flee. He was very tense during his initial medical exam and also attempted to flee, but tolerated handling. Reaction to assessor: Bloue was resting upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Bloue wake sand looks at the assessor with soft eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Bloue becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Bloue hisses when the assessor extends their hand, but remains immobile when touched gently. He appears to relax slightly as the assessor continues to stroke him gently on his head and body, but has a very tense body and still seems unsure. Placement Determination: Experienced, No Children Bloue tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
