Behavior
Blizzard was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder was able to place him into a carrier and bring him to the care center. He allowed all handling upon intake and during his initial medical exam, although he was tense.
Reaction to assessor: Blizzard was lying down, calm and relaxed.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Blizzard looks at the assessor with soft eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening: Blizzard approaches the front and greets the assessor by the opening.
Reaction to touch: Blizzard head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr.
Reaction to being picked up: Blizzard remains soft and continues to purr when held.
Behavior Determination: Average
Blizzard interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
