03/24/17 11:44 Basic Info: Bleu A1106931 is a male black & white DSH feline who was given to the owner as a gift 2yrs ago and is being surrendered due to the owner moving to where pets aren’t allowed. Bleu hasn’t been seen by a veterinarian and currently has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Around strangers Bleu is friendly/outgoing. He hasn’t been around other animals or children but was gentle, exuberant, relaxed/affectionate & playful with the adult in the home. Bleu hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: Bleu hasn’t been on a car ride. He isn’t bothered by the following: being picked up/held, being brushed or with being placed into a carrier. Blue enjoys baths. He hasn’t had his nails trimmed or been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Bleu is described as friendly, affectionate & playful with a medium activity level. When the owner is home Bleu follows them around. He enjoys mouse & ball toys and is an indoor only cat that sleeps around the home or with the owner. Bleu eats dry & wet Meow Mix 3x a day & is uncovered litter box trained with clumping litter within. Bleu doesn’t have a scratching post but doesn’t scratch on items in the home. Intake Behavior: Bleu had a soft body & allowed all handling. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of but due to him meowing, moving his head to look around and or down I took his picture in his kennel where he appeared more comfortable. Bleu didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held at all & was placed into a kennel with ease.

Fear aggression can occur when a cat perceives a threat and may escalate if they cannot escape. A fearful cat will feel more relaxed when given options, so provide him with the chance to move closer, investigate, or interact with you. Be sure to offer incentive such as treats or play time whenever the cat makes a small positive step. Please speak to an adoption counselor for additional information on methods to desensitize your cat to their fear stimulus. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Click here if Beginner or Average. RECOMMENDATIONS: – Experienced cat parent Behavior observations _x_ Experience Bleu tolerates minimal attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter.
