Progress exam-pelvic fractures
History : stray, reportedly HBC 1/14. Started simbadol.
2 view pelvic and HL radiographs-Left SI luxation, complete closed fracture of the pubis cranial to the obturator foramen, complete closed compound fracture of the ischium with a free floating segment
Subjective: BARH. No csvd. Food untouched and seems painful on PE-will hiss with manipulation of HLs. No bm or u noted on medical sheets but bedding is wet and there is some mucoid diarrhea on hindend.

P = wnl
R = eupneic

EENT: Eyes clear, ears have mild brown waxy debris with left ear tip, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: adult dentition, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated, bladder soft
U/G: FS, no MGTs, no vulvar d/c
MSI: Ambulatory x 2 but able to stand with some assistance in HLs, painful on manipulation, withdrawal x4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities, paraparesis with positive tail, anal, and vaginal tone
Assessment:
Possibly HBC-compound pelvic fracture
Left SI luxation
Fracture of the pubis cranial to the obturator foramen
Compound fracture of the ischium with a free floating segment
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Extend simbadol 0.24mg/kg SQ SID x3d until 1/19
Start onsior 2mg/kg SQ SID x3d until 1/18
Will need surgical correction of fracture due to free floating segment and narrowing of canal
Prognosis: Fair
