Big Poppy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Big Poppy was at the back of the kennel, makes eye contact and lip licks. Reaction when softly spoken to: Big Poppy comes forward with his tail lowered and sniffs the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Big Poppy is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Big Poppy looks out the kennel wary of his surroundings and leans in to sniff the assessor’s hand. His tail starts to shake and he allows petting all over. His body is a little tense but he relaxes and rolls around playfully. Reaction to being picked up: Big Poppy was a bit tense when held, lip licks and jumps away. Behavior Determination: Average Big Poppy interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
