11/04/16 16:22 Basic information Big boi is a black and brown cat that is 12 years old. He is a neutered male cat. Owner is surrendering due to landlord not allowing pets in home. There are no known injuries or health problems owner is aware of. Socialization Around strangers, he is shy for a few minutes and then rubs on them. He has never lived with children. When playing with adults he plays exuberant and play behavior is unknown with children. He lived with another cat that was part of a litter bred in the same home. He is relaxed with and respectful with the other cat. When playing with the other cat he is gentle. He spent time with a Maltese and yorkie and was respectful with the dogs. There is no bite history of a person or animal. Behavior Owner stated there is no behavior issues. he was meowing in car ride. There are no litterbox issues. Owner has never tried bathing, trimming or brushing his coat. He isn’t bothered being picked up or being placed in carrier. For the new family to know Owner described him as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy and quiet. Cat’s activity level is medium. When owner is home he likes to sit on you. he enjoys playing with string and was kept mostly indoors. he eats dry food and is litterboxed trained. he uses uncovered litterbox with clay litter. he scratches on furniture vertically. Behavior upon intake Big boi had tense body language and meowing excessive but counselor was able to collar, take intake photo and scan.

Big Boi’s previous owner reports he is shy around strangers for a few minutes, but will rub on them after. He has never lived with children, but is exuberant when playing with adults. He lived with another cat and was relaxed and respectful of this cat, playing gently. He also spent time with two small breed dogs and was respectful of the dogs. He was described as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy, and quiet with a medium activity level. When the owner is home, he will sit on their lap. Reaction to assessor: Big Boi was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Big Boi meows and looks around at his surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Big Boi gets up and greets the assessor by the opening. Reaction to touch: Big Boi head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. He meows and is very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to pick up: Big Boi remains calm and continues to purr when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Big Boi interacts with the observer, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
