SAFE 4/15/18 **6PM DEADLINE** BETSY may have a chronic illness and needs you more than ever now @SIACC. Meet senior lady BETSY @ SIACC! Betsy was brought in by a neighbor who stated the owner could no longer care for the animal. As per the owner, Betsy has been vomiting shortly after eating the last couple of months. Since
being brought to SIACC on 4/12, Betsy has not vomited, but has had diarrhea.

Oral Exam: mild dental calc; mm’s very pale pink, tacky
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Female, no spay scar seen
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, severe matting at dorsum
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment

anemia (hematocrit= 19 4/12/18)- R/O GI blood loss vs chronic disease vs renal disease vs other
diarrhea and vomiting per owner- R/O IBD vs neoplasia vs other
Prognosis: poor
Plan:
recommend euthanasia or placement for further diagnostics/treatment
clipped some mats on dorsum
