BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Beth was at the back of her cage hiding behind her bedding
When spoken quietly: Beth continues to hide
Reaction to door cage opening: Beth remains motionless
Reaction to touch: Beth starts to tremble slightly we when touched
Try picking cat up: Did not attempt to pick up Beth due to her being fearful
Behavior Determination: Experience No Child
Beth was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.

Basic information
Beth is a 3 year old brown Tabby domestic short hair with no known medical conditions. Beth was found wandering loose near a building and allowed finder to feed her and pet her. During intake Beth was tense but allowed counselor to scan her collar her and all handling.
