KNOWN HISTORY:: Berlin was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: 1/22/18 Observed Behavior – not socialized, hisses and growls when approached
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 1/22/18 Blind. Asleep in litter box. Woke and became alert when door opened, stiff posture. Lay in place, started hissing quietly, stopped after a few minutes, allowed all pets, remained tense. 1/23/18 Body was flat out with head slightly up during the approach. While accepting the touch, she flinches with ears turned sideways. Showing no interest with the interaction. 1/24/18 Curled up asleep at back, under kuranda bed. Woke when touched, lay in place, started hissing. Allowed all stopped hissing after a while, but remained stiff. 1/25/18 Crouched in litter box, tense. Lay in place when door opened. Hissed when first touched, allowed a few pets, then flinched badly. Ate a few offered treats when left alone.
Cage Condition:: No change
Reaction to assessor:: Berlin remains stiff, lying out flat by the front of the cage.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Berlin remains immobile with ears erect and forward.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Berlin remains in place.
Reaction to touch:: Berlin shows no interest with the interaction, but during the stroke her ears turned sideways.
