BELLBOTTOM – A1080255
Safe - 7-15-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
***SAFE 07/15/16***BELLBOTTOM has the blues being at the ACC. He’s a 10 weeks old black domestic cat found as a stray and put in one of their terrific cat cages. He’s used to taking care of himself and didn’t appreciate the annoying shelter workers trying to give him an exam. He used his only defense, the Hiss. Not enough to get a New Hope rating but one with a home without kids. Maybe BELLBOTTOM has seen a lot in his life and can sense when someone is trying to act nice but really isn’t. This boy needs a cat savy owner who will appreciate his independence. Please apply to adopt or rescue this mature cat tonight!

07/10/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Bellbottom does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Bellbottom does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Bellbottom hisses and retreats Reaction to touch: Bellbottom hissed and try to avoid being touched Try picking cat up: Bellbottom attempts to flee while being held Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Bellbottom was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats and hisses as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
