SAFE 5/12/17 Young Gray & White Kitties Who Need You at BACC! SMITHSON, WINTER & BELLA!
Bella A1111294 – 5 yr. female gray/white medium haired cat, OS:
Bella is a domestic medium hair cat who was surrendered to ACC due to her previous owner moving to a place where animals are not allowed and not being able to find her a new home.
Around strangers Bella is friendly, outgoing and plays gently with adults and children. Bella has lived with children ages 5 years and up, around them she is relaxed and affectionate. Bella has never been around other cat or dogs so it is unknown how she will react to being around them.
Bella has never bitten another person or animal. Bella will often scratch on the furniture and has litter box accidents. Bella is relaxed when riding in a car. Bella is fearful when being given a bath and her previous owner did not attempt to trim her nails so it is unknown how she will react to that event. Bella enjoys being brushed, picked up/held, and doesn’t mind being disturbed while resting/sleeping. Bella will struggle when being placed in a carrier.
For a New Family to Know:
Bella is described as Friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, shy and quiet with a low activity level. When at home Bella will follow around her owner and likes to sit on her owners. Bella likes playing with string and balls. Bella was kept indoors only and was fed wet food from the brand Friskies. Bella is litter box trained and occasionally has accidents. Bella used an uncovered litter box with non-clumping litter. Bella will scratch on the furniture and was never given a scratching post so it is unknown if she will use one.
Bella was calm during intake and enjoyed being pet by staff. Bella allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.
Lying with a low body and flat ears in back of kennel, head resting against the ground. She watches me as I approach and tolerates petting along her head and body with her eyes closed. Not too responsive to interaction – she remains low bodied with her head resting on the ground. Needs more time to adjust. Sprayed feliway.
