History : Surrendered. Client had pt for about 1 year. She had kittens 3 months ago and was surrendered with 3 male kittens. She is still lactating. No health concerns reported.
Subjective: Alert, calm in kennel, nursing
Observed Behavior – Very relaxed, allows all handling
Evidence of Cruelty seen – None
Evidence of Trauma seen – None
BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: Clean adult teeth
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Female, mammary glands engorged and pt is lactating
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. Flea dirt seen all throughout the kennel.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Normal externally
Assessment: Apparently healthy, very calm, adult cat!
-Lactating (comfort nursing)
Plan: Spay and adopt
