ACTIVITY LEVEL: Immobile VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Skittish KNOWN HISTORY: Beans was brought in to the care center with unknown history. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – shy but easy to handle and examine ENRICHMENT NOTES: 4/24/17- Asleep in cubby behind litter box, woke when door opened, but didn’t move other than opening eyes. Tolerated pets, no response at all. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Beans looks neutral, lying down behind his litter box. Reaction to cage door opening: Beans becomes alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: Beans accepts the stroke while he turns away and slightly leans with his head into the petting. RECOMMENDATIONS: – Experienced cat parent Beans may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
