09/02/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/02/16 18:12 Basic Information Bailey is an approximate 4 year old brown tabby who was found as a stray in a building. Finder stated she responded to a Facebook post stating they wanted an exterminator to remove a cat. When she went it was a landlord and he wanted the cat out of his building. Bailey was tolerant of being picked up and taken away at this time. When Bailey was in finder’s home he became very fearful and attempted to hide in the bathroom. Finder attempted to capture him and he would hiss and defecated on himself. Finder used a towel and was able to place him inside a box and brought him to our shelter. Behavior during Intake Bailey did not tolerate touch. He growled, hissed, and attempted to bite. I transferred from the box he was in into our carrier without touching him.

09/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Bailey looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Bailey peeks head out of the den, soft meowing in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Bailey slowly sniffs the assessor’s hand then hisses and retreats further back into the den. Placement determination: NH ONLY Bailey is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
