05/06/17 16:56 Basic Information: Baby is said to be 17 years old. She is a spayed female domestic short hair white and brown cat. She was surrender because the previous owner was going to move outside of NYC. Socialization: She was shy for a few minutes around strangers. She lived and was tolerant with the children of the ages 5, 7, 10 and 12. She played gently with adults and children. She has no known bite history. Behavior: She had no concerning behavioral issues. She remained relaxed during storms and fireworks. She was not bothered by baths. The previous owner never attempted hair brushes and nail trims. She was not bothered by getting picked up and held. She was also not disturbed by being bothered while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: She was described as a friendly, affectionate and independent cat. Her activity level was medium. The previous owner stated Baby really enjoyed getting rubs by people’s feet. Baby also enjoyed playing with people through the door. She tended to follow the previous owner around the house. She did not like toys. She was kept only indoors. Baby has been sleeping in the litter box for the last few months. She ate wet fancy feast tender cuts. She was very litter box trained and utilized an uncovered litter box filled with clumping fresh step litter. She did not utilize her scratching post. During intake: She had a relaxed body posture. She was very vocal and allowed being transfer to a carrier.

Her activity level was medium. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Baby looks neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during approached. Reaction to cage door opening: Baby becomes alert with soft body posture in place. Reaction to touch: Baby stands tall with tail up enages the assessor’s hand then leans into the petting while she began to purr. Reaction to Being Picked up: She becomes antsy then calmly jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Baby interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
