11/28/16 13:47 BASIC INFO Babu A1098113 is an approximately 2 year old dsh cat. She was found as a stray in owner’s neighborhood about 2 years ago. the main reason for surrender is that the owner travels alot and does not have time for her. Babu does not have any apparent health concerns. SOCIALIZATION Babu is shy for a while when strangers come into the home. Babu plays exhuberantly with the owner. Babu was best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. BEHAVIOR Babu does not have any behavior issues. She easily allows you to place her in a carrier. Babu rides quietly in a vehicle. Babu is not bothered if you awaken her from her sleep. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Babu is best described as friendly. She has a very high activity level and loves to play with ball toys. when home, Babu follows you around. Babu has been kept mostly indoors. Babu sleeps on the owner’s bed. Babu is fed different brands of dry cat food. Babu uses a hooded litter box with Fresh Step litter. Babu scratches on a wood wall. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Babu allowed all handling, collaring and photos.

Babu’s former owner stated she is shy for a while when strangers come into the home. Babu played exhuberantly with the former owner. Babu was best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. Reaction to assessor: Babu looks tense, crouched position with head up at the back when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Babu remains stiff in place, alert with eyes wide open, lip licking. Reaction to touch: Babu retreats further to the back then accepts the stroke with eyes wandering and remains wary with the environment. Placement determination: Experience Babu tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

Clean teeth. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. Dandruff. UG: Female A: 1. Overweight 2. Conjunctivitis 3. Dandruff Short-term prognosis: Good P: 1. Administered pyrantel 0.5 ml PO and Activyl for cats 9+ lbs during exam 2. Erythromycin OU BID x7 days 3.
