Meet fab four year old fella, August, a neutered brown and white tiger mix who was dumped at the shelter with his purrfect pal, POMPILO -A1068713 (a stunning white feline–still available) due to “personal problems.” Sad sigh! August was originally adopted four years ago as a kitten and is just all around awesome-pawesome–friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow and lived with kids and a small dog. He has been a purrfect gentleman at the shelter and we know this handsome guy will fit in purrfectly in any household. Now that this amazing cat has caught the curable kitty cold and despite an excellent prognosis, his precious life is in peril. 03/28/16 17:09 Basic Information: August is a four year old neutered brown and white tabby. He was surrendered due to owner having personal issues. He was adopted from ACC about four years ago and is described as affectionate, friendly, and mellow. Socialization: August has lived with two adults and four teenagers. Around strangers he is described as friendly and outgoing and will engage in gentle play. Around the children he is relaxed and affectionate, he will enagage in gentle play with the teenagers. He lived with another cat in the home and is described as respectful and relaxed, owner he engaged in exuberant play with the other cat. He liked with a small breed dog and is relaxed and they would cuddle in the home, and eat each others food. Behavior: August is litterbox trained and uses an open litterbox and crystals litter. He enjoys baths and likes to be held. He is not bothered when placed in a carrier, and was taken to the groomers to get his nails trimmed. For a new family to know: August’s activity level is described as low in the home, owner stated he likes to lounge and is lazy. He has been kept only indoors, eats dry food and is fed twice a day. He likes to play with mice and balls in the home. He scratches at furniture in the home, owner stated he will scratch at the leather sofa. Upon intake August was calm and allowed all handling. Counselor was able to collar, scan(positive) and photograph.

They would cuddle in the home and eat each others food. Reaction to assessor: August does not come to front but looks at you relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: August comes to the front of cage soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: August remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: August solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: August is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Beginner At the time of the assessment August was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
