Hello, my name is Astrid. My animal id is #11632. I am a desexed male orange tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 03-Nov-2017.
Astrid is healthy cat that may feel stressed and overwhelmed in the care center. We are recommending she go to an adult only home that will allow her to acclimate to her surroundings at her own pace.

KNOWN HISTORY:: Astrid was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior -allows exam, hard to get out of cage
Cage Condition:: No change
Reaction to assessor:: Astrid remains tense, crouched position hiding at the back of the cage cubby.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Astrid becomes alert with eyes dilated, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Astrid remains tightly curled up in place.
Reaction to touch:: Astrid seems uncomfortable and stiffens up while accepting the touch.
