SAFE 2/3/17
Ashton is a sweet, adorable young kitty who’s a little stressed here in the shelter environment. She doesn’t seem to like eating with an audience, and she’s slow to open up to new people, but everyone who meets her knows her potential to be a happy, loving girl in a forever home! She allows all petting, and you can almost see her start to close her eyes to enjoy some gentle cheek rubs, but she definitely needs some time to adjust in the perfect home.

ENRICHMENT:
01/29/17
Doesn’t look like she ate anything overnight. Offered several types of food, she sniffs the grub but doesn’t eat; will check back. Nervous, hiding at back of cage, trying to be invisible, wide-eyed. Slow blinks when talked to softly, really adorable girl. Allows pettting all over, lip licks a bit, doesn’t move from spot at back of kennel. Needs time to adjust. Sprayed a little Feliway and offered some chicken (sniffed, didn’t eat). UPDATE: She ate wet food (both Friskies pate and “meaty bits” and the chicken I left). Arrived from same home as Jewel -49, and Alex, -50, all separated.
