Hx: being treated for URI with doxycycline, erythromycin, cerenia, LRS, nebulization; had severe hypersalivation initially; inappetant since diagnosis S/O: BAR, interactive; acts interested in food but no appetite mm pk, CRT 2 sec; mild hypersalivation; no oral ulcers or significant dental disease present coughing, sneezing with discharge; nasal congestion OU-serous discharge, mild blepharospasm, elevated 3rd eyelid heart/lungs clear, eupnic soft abdomen with no palpable abnormalities A: 1. URI 2. inappetance P: continue all current treatments syringe feed BID if not eating if no improvement in appetite or attitude declines, then start IVF tomorrow prognosis: good to excellent

04/09/17 12:31 Articuno is a stray cat that was found in a backyard along with Zapdos and Moltres they were left under our care. Articuno is a blue and white domestic short hair. The counselor was not able to handle the trio due to the nature of the intake.

KNOWN HISTORY: Articuno was brought into the care center with unknown history. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 4/9/17- Subjective: Tense, allowed most handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 04/12/17 Meows upon approach and comes to the front, sniffing around. He was a bit hesitant of contact, but he accepts gentle strokes on his head and slowly lifts his rear. He seemed more interested in getting treats from my hand and gobbles it as soon as it is offered. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Articuno looks neutral , lying down on his cage bedding when approached. Reaction to cage door opening: Articuno stands up and engages the front door. Reaction to touch: Articuno seems unsure at first then leans into the assessor’s hand and remains in place. Reaction to being picked up: He briefly allows the pickup then jumps back into the cage. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Talkative CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Curious BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Articuno interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
