SAFE 9/3/16 A volunteer writes: Walking through one of the cat rooms on a hot day, I saw the most delicious looking ‘creamsicle’ looking at me, a little shyly. What could I do but go chill out with Armando? He was a little hesitant at first, but after a minute or two of neck scratches he was all ready to roll around purring. Which he did for quite some time, most entertaining for me. Come see if Armando is the cool treat you’re looking for, I think you’ll enjoy him as much as I did.

Armando A1085552 is a 10yr old neutered male white & orange tabby DSH feline who was surrendered along with his slightly older brother Aurelio A1085553 (an 11yr old neutered male black & white DSH who is currently very matted) due to their owner passing away a couple of weeks ago in the Bronx. The super couldn’t find someone to take them and isn’t able to keep them themselves. They stated they didn’t seem to mind being placed into a carrier.
During intake Armando allowed all handling. When taken out of his carrier (which was shared with Aurelio) Armando began meowing but didn’t resist being taken out. Once out he made several attempts to run off the back drop table which is the reason ultimately his picture had to be taken in his kennel. Armando didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held and was placed into a kennel with ease.
