10/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Apollo was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Apollo makes eye contact and was curled up in the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Apollo is curious and leans forward a bit to the assessor but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Apollo remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Apollo seems hesitant of contact and slowly leans away the assessor extends his hand out. She lip licks when first touched, has a tense body and allows petting all over. She slowly leans in when rubbed on her cheeks but feels confident at the back and doesn’t come forward. Please note that Apollo is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Behavior Determination: Experience Apollo may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
