I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/06/2017 from NY 11413, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

KNOWN HISTORY: Anais was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Purring, allows exam ENRICHMENT NOTES: 06/07/17 Sitting crouched towards center of kennel with a relaxed body and soft eyes. She stands up quickly when I open the kennel door and comes forward. Allows petting while leaning in, tail raised. Affectionate and social despite medical condition. Doing well! 06/08/17 Sitting crouched in center of kennel. Shoots up when cage door opens and comes forward, tail raised. Allows all petting, leaning in with tail raised. Doing well despite medical condition. Very sweet cat. 06/09/17 Social and friendly by the front. She rubs her cheeks against the door, doesn’t seem to bother her at all. Very affectionate! She chirps and is constantly rubbing up for attention. Allows all handling, adorable and sweet old gal. Her medical condition doesn’t seem to faze her at all. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Talkative CHARACTER TYPE: People Oriented, Sweet, Affectionate Please note that this cat has a severe medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Anais interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.

Observed Behavior – purring, allows exam Evidence of Cruelty seen – n Evidence of Trauma seen – n Objective P = 120 R = wnl BCS 2/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: numerous broken teeth, moderate tartar PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: female, presumed intact MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, patchy alopecia throughout coat. woods negative CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: soft tissue sarcoma or similar neoplasm–not operable Plan: EHR recommended after ID hold amoxiclav and simbadol for palliative care Prognosis: poor
