**SAFE 08/01/16** PERFECTLY HEALTHY ALMBOY WAS UNFAIRLY TRAPPED AND DUMPED IN THE SHELTER – NOW SHE WILL DIE FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN SHE IS AFRAID. Here we go again – another poor healthy cat who was probably minding her own business, got hungry, and wandered into a trapper’s hands! ALMBOY is about 6 yrs old and she is being destroyed just because they can. She was trapped somewhere in zip code 11212 which seems to be a zip code we see over and over again. This poor girl has no one but YOU. She can’t beg, bargain or plead for her life. She did nothing wrong to deserve this. BUT YOU CAN BE HER ADVOCATE. YOU CAN OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT AND GIVE HER A CHANCE TO HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO HER STORY. WITHOUT THAT – SHE WILL LEAVE THIS WORLD TOMORROW IN A FREEZER BAG NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. EMAIL [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO NOW. ALMBOY NEEDS YOU NOW!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Almboy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Almboy was curled up and hiding in her feral den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Almboy hisses and lip licks when spoken to softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Almboy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Almboy leans forward to sniff the assessor’s hand then backs away slowly. She whips around, hisses then bites when attempting to pet her Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Almboy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to bite, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
