Hello, my name is Allana. My animal id is #10965. I am a desexed female brown tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 27-Oct-2017.
Allana is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection which is contagious to other cats. She will likely need in home care and a course of antibiotics. At this time there are no known behavior concerns for Allana (average determination).

Reported sneezing this morning. Currently pt has mild SND. Move to isolation, start doxycycline 0.6 ml PO SID x10 days.
Anesthesia Report: Pre-medication: 0.15 mL dexdomitor, 0.15 mL butorphanol, 0.15 mL ketamine. 0.35 mL Simbadol and 0.3 mL Robenacoxib given SQ during prep for pain management. 0.4 ml Cerenia given SQ. Reserved with Antisedan 0.15 IM. Start 0.35 cc simbadol 1.8 mg/ml sid x 3 days and 0.3 cc Robenacoxib 20 mg/ml sid x 3 days as pain management.

Basic Information:: Allana was found as a stray so the information on her is limited to the finder and her intake behavior.
How is this cat around strangers?: Allana allowed the finder to pick her up and bring her home.
How is this cat around children?: Allana is scared of children, the finder’s children were rough playing with her and she would hide.
For a New Family to Know: The finder was feeding Allana wet and dry food of an unknown variety.
KNOWN HISTORY:: Allana was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior – Slightly tense but allowed all handling, social in cage, inquisitive, attention seeking, up at cage door
Cage Condition:: No change
Reaction to assessor:: Allana remains neutral, resting on her cage bedding during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Allana seems interested, slowly engages the front.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Allana seeks attention, soft eyes, ears erect and forward, tail slightly down.
Reaction to touch:: Allana head bunts the assessor’s hand and purrs, while being curious with her surroundings looking around at sudden noises.
Reaction to being picked up:: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
