I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 04/30/2017 from NY 11230, owner surrender reason stated was LLORDPRIVA.

Check for spay scar. Slight white line ventral to umbilicus but not as ventral as usual spay scar. Nipples small. A) Probably spayed but monitor for signs of in heat. Perhaps spayed young.

04/30/17 13:12 Basic info: Alisa is a 13 year old spayed DSH cat who was surrendered by her owner due to the fact that she was moving. Owner stated she has had Alisa since she was 8 weeks old. Owner stated that Alisa has no known medical problems. Socialization: Owner stated that when around she is shy and fearful. Alisa hasn’t spent time around children so it is unknown how she will react. Owner stated that Alisa likes to play alone. Owner stated that when around other cats Alisa is fearful. Alisa has not spent time around dogs so it is unknown how she will react. Behavior: Owner stated that Alisa Meows and cries a lot. On the way here in the car Alisa slept and relaxed. When Alisa gets a bath she struggles to get away. She isn’t bothered when her owner trims her nails and brushes her. Alisa is afraid to be held. When being put in the carrier or disturbed when she sleeps she isn’t bothered. Alisa has never bitten a person or another animal. For a new family to know: Owner described Alisa as independent and talkative with a medium activity level. When at home Alisa likes to stay in her favorite spot. She enjoys playing with balls and string. She has been kept indoors her whole life and likes to sleep in her owner’s bedroom. Alisa eats both wet and dry food. She uses an uncovered litter box with clumping clay and never has litter box accidents. Alisa does scratch on the furniture and has a fabric scratching post.

KNOWN HISTORY: Lived Indoors Previously lived with: Adults Behavior toward strangers: Shy and fearful Behavior toward children: Unknown Behavior toward cats: Spent time around other cats and was fearful Behavior toward dogs: Unknown Bite or Scratch history: None Litter box training: Yes Energy level/descriptors: Independent and talkative with a medium activity level. Other notes: He doesn’t mind having her nails trimmed or having her coat brushed. Her owner states that she meows/cries a lot and that she’s afraid of being held. She likes to play with balls and string. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Fractious. Tries to bite and scratch. Will flee. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Alisa crouch walks away to the other side of the kennel with the assessor approaches. Reaction when softly spoken to: Alisa pauses and focuses her attention on the assessor when spoken to softly . Reaction to cage door opening: Alisa remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Alisa lip licks and leans away when the assessor attempts to make contact. She slow blinks and allows gentle pets on her head and along her body. Her body starts to relax with continued contact and she mainly stays at the back of the kennel where she feels comfortable. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy RECOMMENDATIONS: Experienced, Adult Only – Alisa tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.

Evidence of Cruelty seen – None Evidence of Trauma seen – None Objective P = 160 bpm BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: NAF PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Female spayed- according to the owner. Did not see any tattoo or space scar. MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment Behavior Plan Placement with New Hope.
