KNOWN HISTORY: Alexis was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Difficult to get out of cage, hissed and scratched, allowed exam once out of cage Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Alexis was curled up and resting underneath her kuranda bed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Alexis looks over at the assessor with soft eyes but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Alexis lip licks. Reaction to touch: Alexis leans forward, sniffs then nudges the assessor for attention. She gives head butts, purrs and allows petting all over her body. Reaction to being picked up: Alexis is calm, relaxed and allows petting all over. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm Affectionate POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: None BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Average Behavior Asilomar H – Healthy BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Alexis interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
