He has severe wounds and is severely dehydrated and emaciated.We are getting him set up on IV fluids, antibiotics, pain meds, etc but he is not stable enough to sedate and do the wound treatment.PLEASE GET HIM THE CARE HE NEEDS TODAY!

Basic Information:
Alex was left in the BACC lobby as a stray so his history is unknown. He is approximately a 1 year old, DSH male who was not neutered prior to coming into the shelter.
Medical Notes
Alex came into BACC extremely emaciated and with discharge coming from his eyes.
Behavior Notes:
Alex was brought back to medical immediately due to his poor condition so minimal handling was done. He easily allowed for transfer from his box to a carrier.

History: Stray intake 4/9. Severe emaciation, dehydration, and wounds. Gave SQ LRS, convenia, and simbadol.
FIV/FeLV and parvocite negative
Subjective: QAR, ~6-7% dehydrated. Multiple episodes of diarrhea. Great appetite. Is very weak. Has litter stuck to wounds which indicates he was living in a house prior to being abandoned in the lobby.

EENT: Eyes sunken with purulent d/c ou, no nasal d/c, clean ears AU
Oral Exam: clean adult dentition
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI
MSI: Ambulatory x 4 with RFL lameness, large deep wound on caudal right carpus, ulceration of paw pads, feces and litter stuck to all wounds, coat covered in diarrhea, severe cachexia, emaciation, dehydration
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
