4/9/17 Hx: too fractious to examine on intake KNOWN HISTORY: Ale was brought into the care center with unknown history. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 4/8 -Observed Behavior: growling, hissing, and trying to strike on exam EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Ale remains hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Ale stood in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Ale swats (no claws) at the assessor’s hand and remains in hiding. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Skittish, Independent RECOMMENDATIONS: – Placement with a New Hope partner Ale is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
